The Mini BSO

At the heart of music education

Primary Schools

REQUIREMENTS

The Primary School format is a one hour concert performance. The Mini BSO performs on the flat and requires five chairs and a performance space large enough to take the ensemble and audience - this would normally be the School Hall. Use of a selection of school percussion is often necessary and this will be advised when booking. If you are interested in booking the group, please email.

Concerts last one hour and include audience participation, singing movement and the opportunity for a number of children to join the Mini BSO percussion section. Key concepts such as high/low, loud?soft, fast/slow and vibration are reinforced and the musicians demonstrate how their instruments work.
The concerts are themed as follows:

Let’s Dance (KS1)
Music inspired by dance is the theme of this concert which is centred around a specially written musical story about dancing animals that involves participation (see and hear it here!).

It is possible to target a programme at a variety of subjects - please email for more information.
