Concerts last one hour and
include audience participation, singing movement and
the opportunity for a number of children to join the
Mini BSO percussion section. Key concepts such as
high/low, loud?soft, fast/slow and vibration are
reinforced and the musicians demonstrate how their
instruments work.
The concerts are themed as follows:

Dance (KS1)
Music inspired by dance is the
theme of this concert which is centred around a
specially written musical story about dancing animals
that involves participation (see and hear it
here!).
It’s Time (KS2)
Musical clocks, time travel,
conducting lessons and movement to music are all part
of this concert experience.
Around
the World (KS1 & 2)
The sounds
and rhythms of different cultures will have the
audience singing and dancing during this performance.
The
Sea (KS1 & 2)
A programme
of listening and participation based on sea, sailing
and song, using well known sounds (hear Jellyfish
Jive here!).
Pirates
(KS1)
A programme
of listening, singing and storytelling based on
Pirates, their travels and Scary Bones the Skeleton.
It is possible to target a
